We are fully committed to teaching a high standard of traditional karate. The Japanese system of etiquette is probably one of the oldest and most complex in the world. There is a prescribed code of manners governing much of what a person does and how it is done. A person's manners are seen as a direct reflection of his/her level of education and morality.
AGKK students honor this Japanese system of etiquette and is reflected in their WORDS, ACTIONS and whole CHARACTER our club is so much more than just punching and kicking.
AGKK is a Black Belt Leadership School where Positive Attitude of students is a reflection of Positive Proactive Leadership.
AGKK periodically holds training camps and gives students the opportunity to compete in inter-club, interstate, and international competitions. There are opportunities to learn oriental weaponry and meditation. AGKK additionally holds other special Karate events, social gatherings, barbeques etc., which allow you to "get-away" and have a great time socially and cultivate new friendships and further enhance your Karate knowledge. AGKK is firmly committed to making Karate available to all people, regardless of race, class, age, financial status, or creed.
Through diligent training and perseverance, the practitioner of Karate can develop a gentler, calmer nature, whilst developing a more focused approach to daily living. The training develops a harmonious balance between the mind and body.
Training at AGKK is a life changing proactive decision.
We pride ourselves upon excellence in Martial Arts training personified by an ongoing long-term commitment towards helping members in the Brisbane Community.

"In sports karate if you lose your speed you lose your karate. If trained in authentic traditional Goju Kai Karate-do you can continue after reaching middle age.
By application Goju Kai Karate dojo kumite gives you the edge, it is not dependent on your youth. If you train only in modern sports karate, once you are passed 30 years of age the essence of your karate is over."
